Rhythm Method (U-turn), 2021
Rhythm Method (cycles 1)-3, 2020
These works were created while stuck at home during the pandemic and are made from 45 record sleeves. In looking for projects to keep my kids busy we used old records as surfaces to paint on, and I started looking and the designs I found on the record sleeves. In this work I am trying to find new patterns, figure out sequence and spacing combinations and ultimately better understand repeats. I find this related to weaving and yet much more immediate. Always good to balance the fast and slow processes!
